Dr Manash Saha is a qualified Interventional Radiologist with vast experience. He is currently working as Consultant at Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata, offering a huge range of Interventional Procedures encompassing nearly all organ systems of body which hitherto were unheard resulting in fast clinical recovery with minimum of discomfort. Some of the procedures currently available in Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata are as follows-
Percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) & stenting (Metallic) For treatment of Obstructive Jaundice specially in malignancy like in cholangioCa./ Ca. GB etc., in cases of failed ERCP, Post –op cases etc. etc. Frequently requested procedure, may be followed by metallic stenting.
Intervention in G I bleed – embolization – Commonly requested procedure, many a times life saving. Mostly emergency and AGHL completely geared up 24x7 for saving every precious life with very high success rate.
EMBOLIZATION FOR BLEEDING FROM ANY ORIGIN- ARTERIAL/VENOUS
Bronchial artery embolization- For repeated & recurrent hemoptysis, large volume hemoptysis
Uterine artery embolization for uterine fibroids & for PPH - mainstay of treatment now for Uterine Fibroid to prevent hysterectomy, to save life in severe PPH
Transjugular intrahepatic Porto systemic shunt (TIPSS).
Intervention in Budd- chiarri syndrome (Hepatic vein & IVC stenting),
BRTO (Balloon Occluded Retrograde Transvenous Occlusion of shunts) – To treat uncontrolled significant variceal bleeding mainly in cases of Chronic liver disease
Chemoembolization of Hepatocellular Carcinomas or TACE(CONVENTIONAL & DEB) – to treat relatively larger Hepatocellular carcinoma in cases of CLD, colonic metastasis not responding to usual chemptherapy
TRANSARTERIAL RADIOEMBOLISATION (TARE) – For advanced HCC, colonic mets, some cholangio Ca. and neuroendocrine tumours.. It can in properly selected cases it can downstage and even make the patient suitable for liver transplantation. Radiation segmentectomy is new emerging concept
Portal vein embolization.
Stenting for mesenteric Ischaemia
RFA/ Microwave ablation of tumors and metastasis – of lung, liver, kidney, pancreas, bones and other accessible places. Sometimes with combination of other therapies
Partial Splenic artery embolization for Hyperspleenism
Percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN) & antegrade ureteric stenting – For Hydronephrosis and hydroureter
Pre-op embolization of renal tumor and its metastasis.
Intervention in dialysis access- Fistuloplasty, Venoplasty, Central venous stenting
PERM cath placement and its related Interventions- For Dialysis. In difficult accesses may be in combination with venoplasty
Renovascular stenting.
Embolization for Hematuria or renal bleed/ varicocoele – in post PCNL cases, following injury,
Prostatic artery embolization for BPH
SVC / other venous system stenting.
Interventions in Acute DVT like thrombolysis/ thrombectomy or thromboaspiration, IVC filter placement and retrieval,
Stenting for Chronic DVT ( if required)
TREATMENT OF VARICOSE VEINS – RFA, VENASEAL. Venaseal is latest offering which can treat whole length of GSV, SSV, perforators, collaterals in a single go without any suture, cut, no risk of neural damage or burning like in LASER. NO requirement of spinal/ tumenescent anesthesia
Sclerosant therapy for superficial Vascular malformations
Peripheral vascular disease – diagnosis, treatment (stenting, DEB) – via all possible routes like using brachial/ radial / antegrade/ retrograde etc etc
CATHETER DIRECTED THROMBOLYSIS (CDT) – ARTERIAL AND VENOUS
RFA for Osteoid Osteoma
INTERVENTIONAL PAIN MANAGEMENT – COELIAC GANGLION BLOCK, FACETJOINT AND NERVE ROOT BLOCK, RFA FOR TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA, GENICULAR NERVE AND OTHER NERVE BLOCKS, GANGLION IMPAR BLOCK, Vertebroplasty + Kyphoplasty with RFA for bony pain due to metastasis,
All Type of Intervention including Oncology, Gastro, Nephro, Venous, Percutaneous Procedures.
