Work Experience

  • Previously as an Associate Professor and Senior Consultant in UN MEHTA Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre at Ahmedabad, India. It is a five hundred fifty bedded cardiothoracic centre in India and does more than 5000 cases in a year. It has six Trainee seats per year allotted to It. We do all sorts of adult and paediatric cases varying from simple coronaries to complex redo operations. (December 2013 till June 2014 and August 2015 till date)
  • Worked as a registrar / fellow at The Prince Charles Hospital Brisbane,  Australia.  It is the largest cardiothoracic centre in Australasia which deals with complex cases referred from other cardiac centres.It has a dedicated team for Heart failure service and research specially for heart failure.

       Besides involved in and doing routine cardiac surgeries, i was involved in complex cardiac surgeries like TAVI, ECMO and Heart and Lung Transplantation. (June 2014 to August 2015)      

  • Worked as a junior consultant in the department of cardiothoracic surgery in Apollo hospital, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, which is also one of the most reputed and advanced unit particularly in coronary surgery and is headed by  Dr. M.R.Girinath.(October 2008- October 2011)

  •  

    Worked as an Assistant Surgeon at National Heart Institute in New Delhi, India   (September 2004 – march 2005). Job responsibilities included assisting all the open and closed cardiac surgeries as a first assistant, which included CABG mainly off pump
